Elias Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Mingo having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Hortensia FCG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Llorenc to maneuver through the defense. Masked Stars FBJ's Marcelo Qwinton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Llorenc in the 20th minute of play. Natalio Abreu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jaime Ubendu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Hortensia FCG defense, Anacleto Pierres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Mingo. The Hortensia FCG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Mingo should have stopped the shot. Alejo Maura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmar Quico was the one to do the kick off.
