Aquilino Rey hit a great ball. The supporters of DeportivoIndependienteMDP booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Fix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicasio Sendoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Gurutz went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Aquilino Rey got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Isaias Gurutz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Montserrat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Enrique Tino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicasio Sendoa. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Atlético Montserrat were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Adolfo Bastiaro made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Aquilino Rey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicasio Sendoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesar Ted went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Isaias Gurutz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicasio Sendoa was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. If Adolfo Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Atlético Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Cutberto to maneuver through the defense. Luisito Fix kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Patricio Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Valiente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Montserrat were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over DeportivoIndependienteMDP's much stronger midfield.
