When Jeremias Regis came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Leon Platense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Regis couldn't finish the play. Fabio Filipo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Platense's Jeremias Regis. But to his dismay, Jeremias Regis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Guillermo Beltza's late challenge caught a Leon Platense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Beltza helped the player get up and apologised. Guillermo Beltza hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Mi querida Fabiola defense, Benito Ixona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Filipo. The Mi querida Fabiola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Filipo should have stopped the shot. 0-3 became the score in the 23rd minute when Jeremias Regis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jeremias Regis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Regis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Filipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the game, Benito Ixona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leon Platense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mi querida Fabiola the free kick. Benito Ixona hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mi querida Fabiola's Guillermo Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Flavio Vigil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mi querida Fabiola and the Leon Platense players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Mi querida Fabiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Benito Ixona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mi querida Fabiola's Fabio Filipo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Leon Platense's Camilo Tabor got a free kick in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Flavio Vigil took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Roberto Abad to make any attempt to save it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Mikelar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leon Platense's Benito Ixona got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Ixona took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Filipo. Fabio Filipo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Jeremias Regis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Filipo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mi querida Fabiola's Arsenio Clementi got a free kick in the 61st minute. Guillermo Beltza was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Guillermo Beltza hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Jeremias Regis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Filipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mi querida Fabiola's Evelio Mikelar got a free kick in the 69th minute. Jeremias Regis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Fabio Filipo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 81 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Benicio Jaen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Filipo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. After a rather tough play, Leon Platense's Iker Sotil got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 87 played minutes, Mi querida Fabiola's Eduardo Louis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Abad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mi querida Fabiola reached it. Jeremias Regis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Eduardo Louis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Abad. Leon Platense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Evelio Mikelar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mi querida Fabiola's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Mikelar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Leon Platense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leon Platense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
