Gustavo Galindo came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilfredo Figueroa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. If Wilfredo Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Gartxot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Calamuchita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candelaria FC the free kick. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when C.A. Calamuchita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Gartxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Ambrosio Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, C.A. Calamuchita's Carolo Presebal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Roman Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alejandro Emesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Braulio Berbiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Gustavo Galindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the game, Braulio Berbiz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustavo Galindo. Braulio Berbiz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Wilfredo Figueroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gustavo Galindo made a huge save. Gustavo Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Gustavo Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Presebal in the 37th minute of the match. Carolo Presebal didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 8-0 via right post in the game's 38th minute. C.A. Calamuchita's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Cristo Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 9-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Figueroa to make the kick off. C.A. Calamuchita's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Iaki in the 56th minute. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Berbiz in the 57th minute of play. Gustavo Galindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carolo Presebal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 71st minute Wilfredo Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Figueroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Gustavo Galindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilfredo Figueroa scored 14-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nemesio Bemabe hit a great ball. Alfredo Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Gustavo Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carolo Presebal kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Nemesio Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Gustavo Galindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carolo Presebal went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score. Gustavo Galindo came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Calamuchita's Braulio Berbiz. But to his dismay, Braulio Berbiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 16-0. There was no doubt that C.A. Calamuchita were the better team. C.A. Calamuchita's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
