Leo Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Quin in the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Pietro got free with Leo Gaskon in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silverio Lucado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Grosso United booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Lucado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, BAIRES's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Peyo came free, but Leo Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grosso United's Rigoberto Boniel got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the BAIRES defense, Virgilio Quin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leo Gaskon. The BAIRES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leo Gaskon should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Pietro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Leo Gaskon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
