Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bernardino Blai got the match started through his kick off. Jan Ceulemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cesar Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Romelio was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Jairo Jakes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jairo Jakes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnaldo Rufio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Romelio. That made the score 3-0 in the 14 minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Hans Vanacker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brujas KV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Vanacker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jesus Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes, Bernardino Blai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brujas KV and the Gladiadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernardino Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Claudio Iturri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Enol was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Wilfredo Monico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Enol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Jairo Jakes hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Monico came free, but Rodrigo Enol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Claudio Iturri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Rodrigo Enol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Jan Ceulemans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Cesar Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Monico to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gaspar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesar Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Blai in the 61st minute of the match. Cesar Romelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Ceulemans couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Iturri in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Enol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute Bernardino Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
