The Last Try
Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marco Indar took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, one of El ultimo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El ultimo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Maidana in the 9th minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Niceto Pere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, El ultimo's Justo Clementi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind El ultimo's goalkeeper Niceto Pere, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nemesio Lander charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Lander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gregorio Blai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Niceto Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Gregorio Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Pere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Arlo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Benicio Felipillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Indar in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th match minute, La Acade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Mogel to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, La Acade's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Justo Clementi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justo Clementi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Justo Clementi took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Blai. Juan Blai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Justo Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Juan Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Indar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Pere having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Felipillo in the 68th minute of play forced La Acade's goalkeeper Juan Blai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Blai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Clementi in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Acade's goalkeeper Juan Blai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoldo Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Juan Blai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Clementi in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of El ultimo booed when La Acade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Raebert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Clementi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gregorio Blai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Clementi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Blai having to interfere. With an all-out effort, La Acade's Niceto Pere threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Indar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Gregorio Blai came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the La Acade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Blai couldn't finish the play. La Acade's Ildefonso Maidana got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The El ultimo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
