Desiderio Lastur started the match with the kick off. Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia 1903 from getting a goal against them. Fidel Tadzio made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Florencio Serafo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Florencio Serafo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.P.J.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Serafo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Tadzio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Lluis in the 9th minute of play. Desiderio Lastur's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fidel Tadzio firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Lluis in the 17th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Fidel Tadzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Academia 1903's Vladimiro Osasun got a free kick in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio got control of the ball when Desiderio Lastur tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Orlanda during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Siro Orlanda kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Suero to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Serafo in the 40th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Fidel Tadzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Siro Orlanda. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Fausto Pero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Montel having to make a save. After 68 minutes, Alfredo Frederik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.P.J. and the Academia 1903 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Moises Suero struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Narciso Montel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia 1903. 80 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Lluis came free, but Fidel Tadzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fidel Tadzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Lastur in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Florencio Serafo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Tadzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Academia 1903's Diego Cordario seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diego Cordario the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Academia 1903 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diego Cordario had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Academia 1903 getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Diego Cordario hit a great ball. Alfredo Frederik missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 88 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Fidel Tadzio right hand side. Despite being the better team, C.A.P.J. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
