An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Primo in the 4th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Franco Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Israel Mazuste lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Franco Armanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Pagomari in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Fecha Libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Tome to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Edgard Sadurni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Edgard Sadurni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venancio Madaleno. The goal made the score 1-0. Franco Armanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Primo in the 20th minute of play. Zeledon Orland hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Octavio Pagomari came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the KIRICOCHO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Pagomari couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Primo in the 30th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Franco Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Fecha Libre got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Orland. After 31 minutes, Francisco Frisco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KIRICOCHO FC and the Fecha Libre players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Francisco Frisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Armanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Fecha Libre getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pedro Caitano hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, KIRICOCHO FC's goalkeeper Venancio Madaleno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Caitano. After a rather tough play, KIRICOCHO FC's Octavio Pagomari got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Sadurni in the 41st minute of play forced KIRICOCHO FC's goalkeeper Venancio Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moises Primo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Franco Armanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Sadurni to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Caitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Venancio Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Armanca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Pagomari's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Franco Armanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Rolado in the 72nd minute of play. KIRICOCHO FC's Venancio Madaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Sadurni in the 74th minute of play. If Edgard Sadurni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Pedro Caitano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fecha Libre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KIRICOCHO FC the free kick. The Fecha Libre support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
