With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Abadia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto Abadia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Barea in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Barea in the 30th minute of play forced EL CORTO FC's goalkeeper Fausto Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Bernardino Manilan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL CORTO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sportivo Quilmes the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Bizen made a kick off. With his leg Fausto Abadia managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Club Sportivo Quilmes's Jesus Abadie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jesus Abadie might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Abadie ran back to his position shaking his head. Fausto Abadia was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Jesus Abadie capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jesus Abadie really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Tomás Ermano got in the 72nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fausto Abadia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Lamberto during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Jesus Abadie kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fausto Abadia. That made the score 1-6 in the 92 minute of play. In the 95th minute Leonides Barea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Abadia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The EL CORTO FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Sportivo Quilmes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
