A collision led to Yalapa getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Simon Eneto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Gaitan in the 5th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Constantino Elija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Simon Eneto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Urtzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 minutes, Aurelio Aztore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yalapa and the Olds School Pepo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olds School Pepo made a substitution. Ramiro Derwin replaced Benito Claus. After a defensive mix-up in Yalapa's zone, Ciriaco Weather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Elija came out of the goal and Ciriaco Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantino Elija didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Fernanco went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Mauro Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Oskarbi in the 27th minute of play. Yalapa's Constantino Elija played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Urtzi in the 30th minute of play. With 33 minutes on the clock, Jonatan Matia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 33rd minute, one of Olds School Pepo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olds School Pepo. Luisito Atauri scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edelmiro Sesuldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Fernanco in the 39th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Constantino Elija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Yalapa's Simon Eneto got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Ciriaco Weather shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantino Elija showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, Severiano Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Sesuldo made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Andres Peru sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Mauro Eleder made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Severo Gaitan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olds School Pepo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yalapa the free kick. Mauro Eleder in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Constantino Elija, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 59th minute, Severo Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Atauri, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Angelo Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Elija having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Mauro Eleder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olds School Pepo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Eleder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Elija breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Yalapa's Constantino Elija got control of the ball when Angelo Urtzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Constantino Elija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Urtzi in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. When Angelo Urtzi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Olds School Pepo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Urtzi couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Angelo Urtzi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Constantino Elija. The goal made the score 1-4. Olds School Pepo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
