The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Rodas Canillas got a free kick in the 3rd minute. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Rene Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Henrico in the 6th minute of play. Enrique Henrico took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Tristan. Rene Tristan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Victoriano Acosta scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Gonzales, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Felipe Bertin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Bertin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Bertin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE booed when ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Laurgain came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Laurgain couldn't finish the play. Everardo Gonzales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Matthew in the 29th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Victoriano Acosta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Gonzales was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodas Canillas during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rodas Canillas hit a great ball. A collision led to ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Robustiano Paz hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Berto to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Matthew stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rene Tristan had great luck who in the 55thth minute grab hold of the ball when Honorio Egoitz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Everardo Gonzales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 62 minutes into the match, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Paulin came free, but Everardo Gonzales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Gonzales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Matthew in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Gaston Matthew nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Gonzales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Enrique Henrico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rene Tristan made a huge save. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Everardo Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Matthew in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Victoriano Acosta made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Gonzales. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. If Enrique Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Robustiano Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Paz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Tristan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorio Egoitz in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Tristan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
