Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Amancio Magdaleno made the kick off and thus started the match. Doug Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Frascuelo having to interfere. In the 4th minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aurelio Hitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogelio Barbosa. Rogelio Barbosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8thth minute of the game Doug Bermudez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Maximo Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Kismi came free, but Rogelio Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Doug Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danilo Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Bermudez's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Danilo Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Koukoulekis, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Hitz got free with Rogelio Barbosa in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doug Bermudez in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Frascuelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doug Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Danilo Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fragiskos Koukoulekis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Danilo Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Bermudez's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Roman Kismi charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Kismi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Roman Kismi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Frascuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Bermudez in the 32nd minute of the match. Aurelio Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Hitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Hitz. Danilo Frascuelo came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Diablos Rojos's Doug Bermudez. But to his dismay, Doug Bermudez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doug Bermudez in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Frascuelo saved NEWELL´S OLD BOYS from getting behind. After the first half Los Diablos Rojos were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Adolfo Caitano got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 52 minutes of play, Los Diablos Rojos's Maximo Cloyo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Frascuelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 57 minutes, Doug Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Maximo Cloyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Frascuelo came out of the goal and Maximo Cloyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Los Diablos Rojos fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Los Diablos Rojos's Doug Bermudez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doug Bermudez in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Frascuelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doug Bermudez came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Danilo Frascuelo could save by the left post. After 68 minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximo Cloyo who took care of the corner kick. Maximo Cloyo made a great header on Los Diablos Rojos's corner, it was just that NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo managed to reach the ball for a save. When NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aurelio Hitz in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Diablos Rojos's goalie prevented a goal. After 74 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Roman Kismi. Danilo Frascuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Fragiskos Koukoulekis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Frascuelo came out of the goal and Fragiskos Koukoulekis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doug Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Bermudez's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Danilo Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fragiskos Koukoulekis in the 84th minute of play. A hard shot 85 in the game by Doug Bermudez from a close distance when the talented Danilo Frascuelo managed to make a qualified save. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's players were relieved. Danilo Frascuelo stood somewhat misplaced when Doug Bermudez came free in front of goal and shot 1-8 to the left of him in the 93 minute.
