Abelardo Ledesma was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 6th minute of the match, Abelardo Ledesma tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roman Montez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kaplan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Serafin Lop in the 7th minute. Serafin Lop made a great header on Kaplan's corner, it was just that Villa Mitre's Roman Montez managed to reach the ball for a save. If Abelardo Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 13 in the game by Abelardo Ledesma from a close distance when the talented Roman Montez managed to make a qualified save. Villa Mitre's players were relieved. In the 18th minute, Amador Bela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Cayetano Aurre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but René Higuita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roman Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Ledesma in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Roman Montez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Soin. René Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Roman Montez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Soin in the 24th minute. Leandro Jenaro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Mitre's goalie prevented a goal. Serafin Froylan took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Montez. Roman Montez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Roman Montez stood somewhat misplaced when Serafin Froylan came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. In the 35th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Jerardo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Roman Montez got control of the ball when Lucio Soin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Villa Mitre's Cayetano Aurre got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Beltxe. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Ledesma kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roman Montez. That made the score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. Roman Montez made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Lucio Soin sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Soin made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Montez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Lucio Soin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roman Montez. Villa Mitre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Soin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Augusto Gaitan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Aurre charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cayetano Aurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre's Cayetano Aurre got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Serafin Lop sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Montez skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Lucio Soin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaplan's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Soin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Montez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Abelardo Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Ramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Abelardo Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaplan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Montez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurelio Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Aurelio Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaplan's Serafin Lop couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Villa Mitre. Adolfo Ramond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but René Higuita made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Soin in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Montez saved Villa Mitre from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, Leandro Jenaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa Mitre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaplan the free kick. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre's Leandro Jenaro got a free kick in the 96th minute. If Lucio Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
