In the 13th minute, Lino Quintan made a precise shot to the right of Javier Roderigo. Deportivo Messina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Leonel Pancho kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Leandro Vasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Enzo Polentzi made a huge save. Deportivo Messina's Paolo Mantzio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Humberto Nabar, made in the 26th minute of the game. Leandro Vasco took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enzo Polentzi. Enzo Polentzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 30th minute Lino Quintan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Deportivo David Mardel booed when Deportivo Messina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Quintan was the one to do the kick off. Enzo Polentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Araoz in the 86th minute of play. Fabian Rodas scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo Polentzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Luciano Teofilio in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Messina's Aaron Beturian. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Messina fully deserved thier win.
