After 10 minutes, Oscar Eguen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo and the Reconquistense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Oscar Eguen hit a great ball. Palermo's Teofilo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Ugutz in the 11th minute of play. After 32 minutes, Lino Madeo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Palermo's Teofilo Federigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Pelagius was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Nicanor Gaufred capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicanor Gaufred really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Raulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Lino Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Federigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Madeo in the 47th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Teofilo Federigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Vachon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lino Madeo ran back to his position shaking his head. Lino Madeo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Teofilo Federigo made a huge save. Teofilo Federigo made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lino Madeo sent off a good shot on target. Palermo's Teofilo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Madeo in the 76th minute of play. With a left leg Teofilo Federigo saved Palermo from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Lino Madeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Palermo booed when Reconquistense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ulises Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Hernandez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lino Madeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reconquistense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Madeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Federigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reconquistense FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
