Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rene Refugio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Flavio Nuñez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Berreta's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Bitxintxo came free, but Marcial Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Octavio Bitxintxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Guifre. Berreta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Bitxintxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcial Guifre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Bitxintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Emenon hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Berreta's zone, Octavio Bitxintxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Guifre came out of the goal and Octavio Bitxintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Ivan Tello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Octavio Bitxintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rene Refugio made a kick off. Aaron Mateo made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Samuel Senin however managed to control. In the 53rd match minute, Berreta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Refugio to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Erasto. Rolando Erasto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Rene Refugio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Berreta's Rene Refugio got a free kick in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Berreta's goalkeeper Marcial Guifre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Paublo. Adrian Ospetsu's late challenge caught a Berreta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Ospetsu helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ospetsu. In the 67th minute of the match Ivan Tello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Nuñez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Samuel Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berreta's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Senin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Nuñez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Rolando Erasto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Senin's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Senin helped the player get up and apologised. Samuel Senin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Miguel Indar hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Anselmo Orlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Marcial Guifre made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Berreta's goalkeeper Marcial Guifre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Orlan. With a little luck, Berreta's Marcial Guifre got control of the ball when Anselmo Orlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinicio Sidro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Elvio Paublo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Marcial Guifre made a huge save.
