Imperio Académico's Francisco Chabier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Académico from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Imperio Académico booed when Gastres FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Carlomagno in the 9th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gastres FC's Federico Erramun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisco Chabier. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Natalio Refugio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Federico Erramun had several of the Imperio Académico's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Francisco Chabier as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 34th minute Orlando Castulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Txilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Joachim in the 36th minute of play. Aureliano Quirce kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A hard shot by Everardo Pello from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Francisco Chabier's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Virgilio Txilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Carlomagno, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Imperio Académico's Alejo Carlomagno managed to work through Gastres FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alejo Carlomagno dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Erramun to make the kick off. Francisco Chabier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Leocadio in the 51st minute of play. Gastres FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Imperio Académico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santiago Rios took the corner. Natalio Refugio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Virgilio Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gastres FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Javier Stephen hit a great ball. Imperio Académico made a substitution. Leo Ondino replaced Melchor Joachim. After a rather tough play, Gastres FC's Javier Stephen got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Gastres FC booed when Imperio Académico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Osasun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Txilar made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Emilio Sugoi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Imperio Académico getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emilio Sugoi hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Imperio Académico defense, Federico Erramun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Chabier. The Imperio Académico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Chabier should have stopped the shot. Virgilio Txilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Carlomagno in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Javier Stephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Curcio, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Ondino in the 82nd minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
