Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Federico Erramun started the match with the kick off. Virgilio Txilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgard Quintun in the 7th minute. Benji Price stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Erramun's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The supporters of Gastres FC booed when Newpi Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Librado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Rolando Reynardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newpi Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Reynardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lázaro Librado kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, Gastres FC's Cristo Leocadio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benji Price was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Jeremias Tancredo made a precise shot to the right of Benji Price. Newpi Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Natalio Refugio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Pernambucano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Virgilio Txilar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Martin Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Gastres FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Pernambucano was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jeremias Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Pello hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute of the match, Federico Erramun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benji Price was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Benji Price was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Federico Erramun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. Jeremias Tancredo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Benji Price when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Newpi Academy's zone, Federico Erramun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benji Price came out of the goal and Federico Erramun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gastres FC's Virgilio Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Pernambucano in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Erramun in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benji Price saved Newpi Academy from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Federico Erramun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benji Price. That made the score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. The Gastres FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
