The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Orlondon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Amor, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute of the match, Generoso Laurin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hector Cambranes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miguel Orlondon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ángel Romero's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Jacinto Eleder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Cambranes. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Eleder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Ariel Amor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Orlondon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Miguel Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ángel Romero in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ángel Romero in the 20th minute of play forced Perros del sur's goalkeeper Miguel Orlondon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Eleder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Cambranes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Eleder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Perros del sur's goal looked a bit too open when Ángel Romero came free, but Miguel Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Jacinto Eleder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Cambranes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ángel Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Perros del sur's Miguel Orlondon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ángel Romero in the 41st minute of play. Miguel Orlondon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ángel Romero in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Perros del sur's Anacleto Franco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anacleto Franco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Perros del sur protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anacleto Franco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th minute, one of Perros del sur:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Perros del sur. Perros del sur:s Miguel Orlondon showed great skill when he stopped Placido Garci:s penalty. 46 minutes into the game, Placido Garci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Miguel Orlondon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ariel Amor made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Marcos Silviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Cambranes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcos Lauren was slow to take the kick. During this time Perros del sur's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, Perros del sur's Miguel Orlondon got control of the ball when Ariel Amor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Generoso Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Cambranes having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Amor got free with Miguel Orlondon in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Silviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute Ángel Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Silviano during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcos Silviano hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Ángel Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Generoso Laurin hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Miguel Orlondon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 89 minutes, Gaudencio Etxahun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perros del sur and the ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaudencio Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Ariel Amor got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
