The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aquilino Argoitz came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carmelo Hurko could save by the left post. Marcos Llope hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Emanuel Guillelme from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Carmelo Hurko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 9th minute, Pastor Rutenio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximiliano Nerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Maximiliano Nerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 20th match minute, Lagrima en Jarrita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Cordario to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Pastor Rutenio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maximiliano Nerio skillfully saved the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Liberland's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Argoitz came free, but Carmelo Hurko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Pastor Rutenio notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Lagrima en Jarrita's Maximiliano Nerio. Maximiliano Nerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Rafael Erramun made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Nerio. Lagrima en Jarrita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Liberland's Carmelo Hurko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Herena in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Lagrima en Jarrita getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lucas Herena hit a great ball. Rafael Erramun struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Maximiliano Nerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liberland. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Ignado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Lagrima en Jarrita got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Guillelme. Pastor Rutenio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Nerio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Argoitz in the 59th minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Carmelo Hurko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Liberland defense, Aquilino Argoitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Hurko. The Liberland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Hurko should have stopped the shot. After 73 minutes of play, Lagrima en Jarrita's Lucas Herena made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carmelo Hurko was left in no man's land by his defense there! 77 minutes into the match, Liberland's goal looked a bit too open when Garcilaso Garcha came free, but Carmelo Hurko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Hurko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Merexildo in the 78th minute of the match. Liberland's Carmelo Hurko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Herena in the 79th minute of play. Garcilaso Garcha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Hurko having to interfere. Maximiliano Nerio made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Pastor Rutenio sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Lucas Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Hurko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Erramun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maximiliano Nerio came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Erramun slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 88th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Liberland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Erramun to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Julian Transito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pastor Rutenio, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Liberland supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liberland would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
