Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angel Di Maria took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jorge Iribarren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonifacio Oliverio. Jorge Iribarren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Di Maria in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Eustaquio Tabor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto George was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jorge Higuaín blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto George having to make a save. A collision led to Sacronas Futbol Club getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alberto Cuello hit a great ball. Jorge Iribarren was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mauro Perez. Angel Di Marias short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Jorge Iribarren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jorge Iribarren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benigno Eriz in the 30th minute. Jorge Iribarren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Commisso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Norberto Iliana hit a great ball. Eustaquio Tabor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting de Gijón's Fausto George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Ferreyra in the 42nd minute of play. Fausto George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Ferreyra in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Sacronas Futbol Club's Bernabe Ferreyra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto George made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Eustaquio Tabor made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner. Sacronas Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Perez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Iribarren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eustaquio Tabor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Fausto George when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eustaquio Tabor scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto George, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, Sacronas Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Pena to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Fausto George managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Sacronas Futbol Club's Eustaquio Tabor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute Omar Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iribarren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Angelo Bertin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4.
