Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Angel Di Maria made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when CAI NEUQUEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Totakoxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Etxahun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Serafin Lalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mauro Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Oliverio in the 21st minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Etxahun came free, but Serafin Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Perez might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafin Lalla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Perez ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Perez came free, but Serafin Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sporting de Gijón's Angel Di Maria in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CAI NEUQUEN's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute, Angel Di Maria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Lalla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Celestino Illart took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Serafin Lalla. CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Serafin Lalla came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Angel Di Maria. But to his dismay, Angel Di Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Di Maria in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Totakoxe to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serafin Lalla. Serafin Lalla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 57th minute of the match, Mauro Perez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serafin Lalla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Perez in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Eriz got free with Serafin Lalla in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Angel Di Maria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 67th minute, Marcos-Alberto Rojo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Omar Etor replaced Bonifacio Oliverio. CAI NEUQUEN's Vicente Urtungo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sporting de Gijón. Serafin Lalla made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Omar Etor sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute of the match, Mauro Perez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serafin Lalla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Perez in the 79th minute of play. Honorato Eutropio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Sporting de Gijón's Mauro Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Serafin Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th match minute, CAI NEUQUEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Iban to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Serafin Lalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Di Maria. With a little luck, CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla got control of the ball when Angel Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafin Lalla made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Angel Di Maria sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute Omar Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
