Ulises Jurgi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Growlithe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Silvanito to maneuver through the defense. Growlithe FC's Gilberto Salomon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Growlithe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colon Barco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Growlithe FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nicolas Emesto hit a great ball. Herminio Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Villalba, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Herminio Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Marin in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Villalba in the 22nd minute of play forced Growlithe FC's goalkeeper Herminio Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Ulises Jurgi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Beltran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ambrosio Elazar in the 27th minute. The supporters of Growlithe FC booed when Furia Calamar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Despite this Herminio Duardo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 46 played minutes Growlithe FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Sanson. The Growlithe FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Furia Calamar were winning 0-1.

The supporters of Furia Calamar booed when Growlithe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Sanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Furia Calamar's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Salomon came free, but Simon Beltran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Growlithe FC's Herminio Duardo got control of the ball when Delmar Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ambrosio Elazar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute Gilberto Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Matias Truylos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Beltran was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 88 minutes, Nacho Vázquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Furia Calamar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nacho Vázquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Growlithe FC's Herminio Duardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Growlithe FC from getting a goal against them.
