The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Berart got free with Donato Raulo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 minutes NANANANA LIIIDEER FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauricio Amato who took care of the corner kick. In the 19th minute, Lex Lider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Unax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lider Hamburg in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match NANANANA LIIIDEER FC got a corner. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anana Lider ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Anana Lider got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Unax quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th minute Elberg Oña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Unax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lider Hamburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Amato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Donato Raulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Berart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Donato Raulo made a huge save. If Aaron Hulberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Celso Berart came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Berart couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Petri kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lider Hamburg to make the kick off. NANANANA LIIIDEER FC's Donato Raulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Amato in the 56th minute of play.
