After 2 played minutes Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Terry Jones. When Braulio Peru came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the BAC Belgrano de Cba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Peru couldn't finish the play. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Anier Balendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Sagrario in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Geronimo Sagrario reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anier Balendin. The goal made the score 1-0. Anier Balendin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Sagrario in the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Nuxila got free with Anier Balendin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Lucio Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Hawthorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Hawthorne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Nuxila got free with Anier Balendin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christopher Hawthorne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With an all-out effort, Quilmes's Anier Balendin threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geronimo Sagrario, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christopher Hawthorne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Peru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Librado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alberto Calvet fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BAC Belgrano de Cba's protests and gave Alberto Calvet a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Enrique Xabier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Florencio Librado made a precise shot to the right of Christopher Hawthorne. Quilmes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Sagrario in the 64th minute of play forced BAC Belgrano de Cba's goalkeeper Anier Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
