The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Sergio Romeri managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Nippur de Lagash 2's Benjamin De Mitri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner ended in Ulises Isusko almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Romeri did a great save. Jonathan De Mitri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Demario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Conrado Cambranes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan De Mitri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan De Mitri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Cambranes in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Conrado Cambranes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan De Mitri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 46th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Demario to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
