After a defensive mix-up in Pilar FC's zone, Ezequiel Illan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Micael came out of the goal and Ezequiel Illan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cirilo Micael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Burdisso in the 63rd minute of play. After 73 played minutes Pilar FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Truylos. In the 77th minute Ciro Farias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Micael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Guillermo Barros Schelloto could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Cirilo Micael however easily saved by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Cirilo Micael successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 85 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Mouche came free, but Agustin Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Pablo Mouche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Mouche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustin Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Barros Schelloto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Cirilo Micael made a huge save. Pilar FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Ciro Farias scored to the left of an out of position Cirilo Micael, making the score, 0-5.
