After a rather tough play, U21 Totoras F.C.'s Gerardo Edur got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gerardo Edur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Deportivo Diamante U18 booed when U21 Totoras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a rather tough play, U21 Totoras F.C.'s Geovanny Fuertehijar got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, U21 Totoras F.C.'s goalkeeper Germán Burgos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Maiorga.
