The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Merentiel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Délio Valdez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chiquinho Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dong Qing Wei's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Chiquinho Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamodi Kareef in the 32nd minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Vinícius De Assis Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiquinho Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 43 minutes into the game, Hamodi Kareef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Chiquinho Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamodi Kareef in the 46th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Frontera AFC's Chiquinho Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Frontera AFC from getting a goal against them. Dong Qing Wei came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Chiquinho Romero could save by the left post. Chiquinho Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamodi Kareef, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Hamodi Kareef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Hamodi Kareef looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frontera AFC's Cristian Lema was substituted for Cristian Medina.
