Modesto Theodore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Bengt-Arne Åberg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Paunero's Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guillermo Geofredo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 19th minute of play forced Paunero's goalkeeper Modesto Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Modesto Theodore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 20th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Iker Garin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paunero's Modesto Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ruben in the 28th minute of play. Florencio Godoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zbigniew Hejza during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Zbigniew Hejza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Bengt-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Theodore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Modesto Theodore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 53rd minute of the match. Florencio Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Semeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s César Bustamante was substituted for Marco Ruben. Iker Garin made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cecilio Mel however managed to control. Emilio Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Florencio Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Mel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Bustamante took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Modesto Theodore. Modesto Theodore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-9. The ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
