Armando Maradona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Godoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Söderlund in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Armando Maradona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florencio Godoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marco Ruben hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s zone, Armando Maradona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Godoy came out of the goal and Armando Maradona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Ruben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurids Baylund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg in the 34th minute of the match. Florencio Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Maradona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. were furious when Amado Evarado was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave DESTROY a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Evaristo Macerio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Borre in the 42nd minute of play forced ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalkeeper Florencio Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
