The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. MORPH's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo-Hernán Funes Mori in the 16th minute. In the 34th minute, Vladimiro Jerold reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Lixandro. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Evelio Manzanedo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Gallos's zone, Gustavo-Hernán De La Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Horado came out of the goal and Gustavo-Hernán De La Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vladimiro Jerold made the kick off in the second half. MORPH's Marco Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eder Sarro in the 52nd minute of play. Marco Lixandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Jerold in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes MORPH got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Constancio. In the 62nd match minute, MORPH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo-Hernán Funes Mori to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Lixandro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The MORPH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Lixandro should have stopped the shot. Marco Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Libertad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
