Hüseyin Rahmi Emektar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Narvaja having to interfere. If Edelmiro Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Maximiliano Ibon a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arne Bronco made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Chiquito Benítez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Peter was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Roberto Cherro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Mandiyu made a substitution. Cesar Teofilio replaced Chiquito Benítez. In the 83rd minute, Cesar Teofilio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Peter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Deportivo Mandiyu's attentive Alberto Honrio managed to snatch the ball when Sixto Naldo made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. The Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Deportivo Mandiyu to win.
