When Vairis Saule fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zuberbühler FC's protests and gave Vairis Saule a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Vairis Saule. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Narciso Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cable a Tierra's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 龚扬强 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavino Egoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but 龚扬强 made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horacio Nevada in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Telesforo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Gipuzkoa came free, but Leonides Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Claudio Echeverri took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for 龚扬强 to make any attempt to save it. Jacinto Sidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Telesforo having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cable a Tierra eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
