The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Narciso Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cable a Tierra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes, Narciso Bertassi made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Hector Montrel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka defense, Narciso Bertassi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Montrel. The Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Montrel should have stopped the shot. Hector Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Abar came free, but Leonides Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Saverio Mercurio came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cable a Tierra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saverio Mercurio couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Narciso Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Narciso Bertassi put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hector Montrel. 27 minutes into the game, Cable a Tierra's Narciso Bertassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Montrel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 31 minutes into the match, Saverio Mercurio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Montrel. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Mercurio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 34 minutes into the game, Domingos Cordarrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cable a Tierra the free kick. Domingos Cordarrell kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Arotza. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Narciso Bertassi put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Hector Montrel. After 39 minutes of play, Cable a Tierra's Gavino Egoi made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Montrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Salvator to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Montrel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narciso Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Claudio Echeverri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uriel Arotza made a kick off. Narciso Bertassi didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-9 via right post in the game's 51st minute. Cable a Tierra's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 54th match minute, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Rito to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Bertassi had several of the Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Hector Montrel as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 59th minute of play forced Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Hector Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Narciso Bertassi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hector Montrel, 0-11. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Vitoldas Bilota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cable a Tierra's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitoldas Bilota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Montrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudio Echeverri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Hector Montrel made a huge save. Narciso Bertassi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Hector Montrel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 75 minutes, Narciso Bertassi made it 0-12 with a short kick to the right side. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Hector Montrel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hector Montrel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Hector Montrel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso Bertassi in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Montrel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hector Montrel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cable a Tierra's Narciso Bertassi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-13 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Saverio Mercurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cable a Tierra's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Mercurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Montrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Hector Montrel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Narciso Bertassi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 88 minute of play. Narciso Bertassi struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Hector Montrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cable a Tierra. Claudio Echeverri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Narciso Bertassi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Montrel. That made the score 0-15 in the 95 minute of play.
