The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caaguazu's Malvin Vidaurre got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Gilesindo Tarapiella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zakir Novruzov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gavino Cresconio kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Vincente Monzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Juniors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlo Albiz scored 1-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zakir Novruzov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zakir Novruzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Albiz in the 34th minute of play. Sakura Storm's Zakir Novruzov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilesindo Tarapiella in the 36th minute of play. When Gavino Cresconio fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caaguazu's protests and gave Gavino Cresconio a yellow card for diving instead. Vincente Monzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Gilesindo Tarapiella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zakir Novruzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Beltza Rubin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caaguazu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sakura Storm the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beltza Rubin to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Tadeusz Dziechciowski made the kick off in the second half. Zakir Novruzov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Faron in the 55th minute of play. Zakir Novruzov made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gilesindo Tarapiella sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Caaguazu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beltza Rubin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zsolt Hubina hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Arlo Albiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 85 minutes, Zsolt Hubina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sakura Storm and the Caaguazu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 minutes of play, Caaguazu's Arlo Albiz made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zakir Novruzov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilesindo Tarapiella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Zakir Novruzov made a huge save. Napoleon Mleczewski hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Arlo Albiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Zakir Novruzov made a huge save. Sakura Storm's Zakir Novruzov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Sakura Storm from getting a goal against them. Beltza Rubin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caaguazu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
