Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conrado Faron kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Aaron Zamorano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Faron came free, but Godofredo Mac Intyre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Manuel Vlahovic's late challenge caught a Caaguazu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 24th minute, CRUZ DEL SUR's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arlo Albiz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 26th minute, Gilesindo Tarapiella reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Godofredo Mac Intyre. The goal made the score 3-0. Gilesindo Tarapiella received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Godofredo Mac Intyre came out and tried to block the shot, but Gilesindo Tarapiella slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute José Ignacio Berguecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Odol Rojas hit a great ball. After 42 minutes of play, Caaguazu's Conrado Faron made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godofredo Mac Intyre was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Conrado Faron came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Caaguazu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Faron couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Ignacio Berguecio made a kick off. CRUZ DEL SUR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Malvin Vidaurre ran over to the corner to take the kick. Malvin Vidaurre made a great header on Caaguazu's corner, it was just that CRUZ DEL SUR's Godofredo Mac Intyre managed to reach the ball for a save. After 53 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by Reyes Fell. Godofredo Mac Intyre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlo Albiz in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Arlo Albiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Mac Intyre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Conrado Faron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caaguazu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After having played for 69 minutes, Conrado Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caaguazu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Reyes Barcenilla fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caaguazu's protests and gave Reyes Barcenilla a yellow card for diving instead. Arlo Albiz scored 7-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godofredo Mac Intyre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Caaguazu fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Caaguazu's Conrado Faron looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Godofredo Mac Intyre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Faron in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. After having played for 96 minutes, Malvin Vidaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caaguazu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malvin Vidaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caaguazu fully deserved thier win.
