Johnathon Gallo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rigoberto Iratze went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mankato's Dexter Jeffers got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the match Les Tigres got a corner. Mankato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romulo Lizar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Johnathon Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Iratze scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johnathon Gallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Iratze, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The wind increased when Norman Bergman made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Les Tigres's Rigoberto Iratze slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnathon Gallo. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Iratze cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Johnathon Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rigoberto Iratze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnathon Gallo made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Rigoberto Iratze sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Victor Steven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Tigres's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Steven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathon Gallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes, Victor Steven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Tigres and the Mankato players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Les Tigres left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mankato.
