Damian Quirze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xencio Galaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the game, YerBaTerOs's Xencio Galaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Quirze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hidalgo Babiano came free, but Damian Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of YerBaTerOs booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paúl Mambliga in the 42nd minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Damian Quirze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xencio Galaz in the 45th minute of play. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Hidalgo Babiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Quirze. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Quirze should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Pero made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Felipo to maneuver through the defense. YerBaTerOs's Tercero Toria shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Damian Quirze but with some difficulty. Xencio Galaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Quirze having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Hidalgo Babiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Quirze. Racing Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hidalgo Babiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Zenon Santin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Damian Quirze 66 minutes into the match. Racing Club's Damian Quirze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Xencio Galaz kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Racing Club's keeper Damian Quirze was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Polo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. YerBaTerOs made a substitution. Rosero Baranda replaced Tercero Toria. Dante Polo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Damian Quirze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Santin in the 78th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Santin came free, but Damian Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Quirze was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Marin Reneros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marin Reneros really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Racing Club's Damian Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Reneros in the 90th minute of play. Hidalgo Babiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Damian Quirze made a huge save. YerBaTerOs played a much better game than Racing Club and deserved their victory. The Racing Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
