With a little luck, Baez FC's Vincente Biggs got control of the ball when Léonard Keys tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match, Léonard Keys got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vincente Biggs was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Benicio Ferreccio's late challenge caught a Fly T.T's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Ferreccio helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 minutes, Adolfo Gaete mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baez FC and the Fly T.T players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Baez FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Gaete. In the 40th match minute, Fly T.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léonard Keys to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Benicio Ferreccio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Myles Berger. Fly T.T's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Ferreccio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 53 minutes of play, Fly T.T's Marcellin Chaloux made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vincente Biggs was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute Orlando Casanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Myles Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
