Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terciero Orantes to make the kick off. Vicente Davalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryon Hendrix in the 83rd minute of the match. Roch Covington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Davalos having to interfere. If Bryon Hendrix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Bryon Hendrix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jagiellonia Denver's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryon Hendrix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia Denver's Edison Lam got a free kick in the 94th minute. Jagiellonia Denver's Roch Covington got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
