Garrett Horne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregg Ferrell in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Keith Steward notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Woodbury Heights's Theodore Lunsford. Theodore Lunsford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lance Crowe struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Theodore Lunsford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Moriches AFC. 27 minutes into the match, Woodbury Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Steward came free, but Theodore Lunsford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garrett Horne made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Woods in the 29th minute. Theodore Lunsford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Crowe in the 33rd minute of play. A hard shot by DeAndre Lockett from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Garrett Horne's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keith Steward to make the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Titus Abbott fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Theodore Lunsford having to interfere. After 53 played minutes East Moriches AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Holzer. After a rather tough play, East Moriches AFC's Titus Abbott got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Garrett Horne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregg Ferrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garrett Horne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Woods in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, East Moriches AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Titus Abbott to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Woods in the 79th minute of play forced East Moriches AFC's goalkeeper Garrett Horne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garrett Horne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. East Moriches AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
