The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emil Zátopek made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Elpidio Efraim sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Malvin came free, but Emil Zátopek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Harrison McCann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 42 minutes into the game, Edgardo Castillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internacional Pechofrío's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF JABATOS the free kick. The supporters of CF JABATOS booed when Internacional Pechofrío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Venceslao Solares came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Internacional Pechofrío fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venceslao Solares couldn't finish the play. In the 98th minute, Elpidio Efraim made a precise shot to the right of Emil Zátopek. Internacional Pechofrío's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the CF JABATOS players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
