Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Mascareñas started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nestor Ibaute hit a great ball. Liga de Quito were furious when Urbano Pacio was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️ a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lop Barros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Liga de Quito's Tomas Pando. 1-0. Tomas Pando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabrio Gallerreta, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tomas Pando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabrio Gallerreta's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Liga de Quito's Tomas Pando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ponciano Cabo in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Nestor Ibaute managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liga de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Ibaute was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Checa Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Nestor Ibaute's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bahiano Montemiuño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Checa Cerezo hit a great ball. Bahiano Montemiuño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cruz Guia in the 38th minute of play. Liga de Quito were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cruz Guia took the corner. Nestor Ibaute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bahiano Montemiuño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Atauri Sanabria made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Vidal Cismado got a free kick in the 50th minute. Tomas Pando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabrio Gallerreta in the 54th minute of play. Checa Cerezo's late challenge caught a Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Checa Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Indartsu Perero during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indartsu Perero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Gabrio Gallerreta came free, but Tomas Pando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lop Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes, Urti Arzola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️ and the Liga de Quito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Urti Arzola kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Liga de Quito's Cruz Guia got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponciano Cabo in the 88th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Tomas Pando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Valdo Aroztegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Liga de Quito players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️.
