Gorka Oñate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Nicolás Guerrero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Guido Folgoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emiliano Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Folgoso having to interfere. In the 24th minute Nicolás Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Folgoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Nicolás Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Folgoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorka Oñate in the 30th minute of play. Guido Folgoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Noyola went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Gorka Oñate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, Cristian Santamaria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Madrid de Guatemala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Real Madrid de Guatemala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
