Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benigno Froila started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Carolo Cristos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabricio Stephen. Águilas Poblanas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carolo Cristos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ulises Ramone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Stephen having to interfere. ORIZABA F.C.'s Ulises Ramone managed to work through Águilas Poblanas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ulises Ramone dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 15 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Estavan. Dante Txema took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabricio Stephen. Fabricio Stephen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ulises Ramone took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Fabricio Stephen to make any attempt to save it. After 26 minutes of play, Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Monico made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Honrio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabricio Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Primo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ORIZABA F.C.'s zone, Benigno Froila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Honrio came out of the goal and Benigno Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulises Ramone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dante Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugenio Honrio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Froila went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the ORIZABA F.C. defense, Benigno Froila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Honrio. The ORIZABA F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Honrio should have stopped the shot. Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Ramone in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Benigno Froila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Eugenio Honrio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Ramone to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Dante Txema notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen. Fabricio Stephen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute Victorino Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Carolo Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Ulises Ramone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabricio Stephen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Ramone in the 72nd minute of play. When Virgilio Guerau fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Virgilio Guerau a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute Ulises Ramone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Monico. In the 98th minute, Virgilio Guerau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute of the match Albano Rodriguez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabricio Stephen skillfully saved the ball. ORIZABA F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
