Junior Stover charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Junior Stover the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd minute, Junior Stover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Mario Dostie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benicio Javiero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Junior Stover got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Mario Dostie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Javiero. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Dostie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Qikiqtarjuaq FC booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Matro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Morin in the 16th minute of the match. Benicio Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denver Grimes in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Junior Stover's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Javiero was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Junior Stover sped through Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benicio Javiero. Benicio Javiero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Stover in the 85th minute. After 85 minutes of play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Junior Stover made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benicio Javiero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hilario Slaughter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benicio Javiero came out and tried to block the shot, but Hilario Slaughter slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 89th minute. Tomás Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hilario Slaughter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benicio Javiero. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute Mario Dostie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
