Alianza Trujillo's Ximenes Barnechea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leobardo Abajas in the 11th minute of play. Ximenes Barnechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Pablo Magallanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leobardo Abajas in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ximenes Barnechea saved Alianza Trujillo from getting behind. The supporters of La Mandarina Mecánica booed when Alianza Trujillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolcet Bevia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Arismendi might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ximenes Barnechea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Arismendi ran back to his position shaking his head. Tanio Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolcet Bevia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes Alianza Trujillo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Estevam Abellaneda who took care of the corner kick. La Mandarina Mecánica's Estevam Abellaneda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ximenes Barnechea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Bernaldo Salinas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Estevam Abellaneda struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ximenes Barnechea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Mandarina Mecánica. Inacio Trevijano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Tanio Abeita made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, La Mandarina Mecánica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pello Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Tanio Abeita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inacio Trevijano. Favila Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Tanio Abeita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inacio Trevijano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Ximenes Barnechea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leobardo Abajas in the 57th minute of play. Ximenes Barnechea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Arismendi went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alianza Trujillo's Arsenio Ceraso was substituted for Machado Maja. The supporters of Alianza Trujillo booed when La Mandarina Mecánica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position.
