Peter Cuevas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Molino, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Peter Cuevas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Molino went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Peter Cuevas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Varez in the 41st minute of play. When Homer Richter fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Whiteland FC's protests and gave Homer Richter a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, New Whiteland FC's Homer Richter got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 42 played minutes, Monitor Huáscar's Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peter Cuevas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monitor Huáscar reached it. The New Whiteland FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monitor Huáscar were winning 1-7.

David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Cuevas came out and tried to block the shot, but David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 51st minute. 56 minutes into the match, New Whiteland FC's goalkeeper Peter Cuevas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado. New Whiteland FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bidari Ansola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-12. Turi Larrategui took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Cuevas. Peter Cuevas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-13. When the match was over Monitor Huáscar could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Whiteland FC throughout the match.
